TIAG App
Terms of Service
Effective July 20, 2026
Plain language, no tricks: you're buying access to teaching, tools and a community built by real homesteaders. Use it for your own household, treat people well, and it's yours to learn from.
Your membership
- TIAG Membership ($27/month) — full access to the app, the Independence Series, the Digital Resource Library, member Globe features and member perks, for as long as your subscription is active. Cancel anytime; access runs to the end of the paid period.
- TIAG Lifetime — Full Offline App Ownership — everything above, for life, plus the downloadable Offline Edition and its lifetime updates.
- The Independence Series — Complete — permanent access to the 17-course series.
- Membership is personal to you and your household and non-transferable. Don't share your sign-in codes or resell access.
Content & ownership
- All courses, workbooks, printables, maps and other materials are the intellectual property of The Independent American Gardener and its contributors.
- You may download, print and use member materials for your own family and homestead.
- You may not republish, resell, or redistribute member materials, or use them to build a competing product.
- The Offline Edition is licensed to the purchasing household for personal use — it is yours to keep and use offline, forever, under the same personal-use terms.
Community conduct
Community spaces (the Globe, chat, and member feeds) exist to help real people build real independence. No harassment, no spam, no scraping member data, no impersonation. We may remove content or, for serious or repeated abuse, end an account's community access.
Honest disclaimers
- Education, not professional advice. Courses and resources share practical experience in gardening, food production, water, shelter and family preparedness. They are not medical, legal, financial or engineering advice. Check your local laws and codes; use your own judgment on your own land.
- The Globe is community-reported. Map data comes from members and public sources, is updated regularly, and may contain mistakes or omissions.
- Availability. We build for resilience (including offline use), but no online service is uninterruptible. Features marked "coming soon" or "in production" ship when they're genuinely ready.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, TIAG's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amounts you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Billing, cancellation & refunds
All payments are processed by Shopify through our store. Manage or cancel your subscription any time from your store account. Refund terms are in our Refund Policy.
The legal frame
Your agreement is with United Works LLC, doing business as Lulu's Garden, publishing as The Independent American Gardener ("TIAG") — the seller of record for all TIAG memberships and digital products. Homestead-design services are provided under separate agreement by Haven Permaculture LLC. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. If a portion of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stands. We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do, and continued use means acceptance.
